====Uses====

The **Mass Driver** (MD) is probably the most specialized weapon in Tremulous. Easy to pick up, but difficult to master, the Mass Driver serves the function of the [[Human team]]'s long-range heavy hitter, delivering 38 damage points anywhere with precise accuracy. This makes the weapon suitable for fire support, area denial, and [[dretch]]/[[granger]] hunt roles. In the hands of a master MDer, the weapon can also be used as a potent short-range anti-dretch weapon. In this situation, however, the slow repeat time of the weapon, combined with its pinpoint accuracy, devalues it somewhat in the hands of most players. A more effective weapon to use versus dretches at short range is the [[shotgun]], unless one has mastered the Mass Driver. 

====Pros====

    * Zoom Function enables the player to see and hit a target at almost any range.
    * Deals a high amount of damage in a single shot for a hitscan weapon. (38 pts.)
    * Has perfect accuracy.

====Cons====

    * Smallest clip size of any weapon.
    * Slowest repeat rate of any weapon. (Tied with Shotgun)
    * Generally weak at close range.

====Miscellaneous====

The zoom function for this weapon can be activated by pressing Z on the keyboard. A better way to bind the zoom function is outlined below:

     - Enter the Console (~ Key)
     - Type **/bind mouse2 "+button5;+zoom"**
     - Press enter

Now the zoom function will be bound to the right mouse button, as will the secondary fire function of the other weapons. This configuration makes zooming much easier and effective.
